Our CEO

 

Fred Huis 
A E (Fred) Huis CA

Fred Huis has played a leading role in the development and growth of Police & Nurses for more than 28 years, including the Nurses First inception in April 2003. Fred leads a dynamic team of over 300 staff, and is active in the everyday running of the business.

Demonstrating a strong company ethos, Fred has been instrumental in establishing Nurses First and forging the Police & Nurses expansion, to the point where the company is now WA's largest home-grown and locally run financial institution.

 

Our Directors

As our members' elected representatives, our Board is committed to members. The Board of Directors is responsible for the corporate governance of Police & Nurses Credit Society and its controlled entities, and acts in accordance with the Constitution of Police & Nurses Credit Society.

The following people currently hold office as Directors of the Society. Each Director holds one share in the Society. 

 

Eric Smith 

Eric Laurence SMITH FAICD FAMI (Chairman)

Police Inspector, Certificate in Police Studies, Diploma of Policing, Adv Diploma of Business Management, Diploma of Criminal Investigations, Diploma of Public Safety (Policing), Advanced Diploma of Public Safety (Police Investigations), Australian Institute of Company Directors Diploma, 15 years service as a Credit Society Director; 33 years service as a Police Officer. Nominations Committee Chairman, Audit Committee member and Board Governance Committee member.

 

Paul Gabb 

Paul Marshall GABB B.Com (Accounting), CPA, FAICD  (Deputy Chairman)

Financial Analyst - Australian Federal Police, 11 years service as a Credit Society Director; 23 years service in Law Enforcement. Audit Committee member.

 

Liz Manley 

Elizabeth Anne MANLEY RN RM B. App Sc (Nursing) MBA FRCNA FAICD

CEO & Director of Nursing; 9 years service as a Credit Society Director; 38 years service in the nursing/health profession. Audit Committee member.

 

Steve Melville 

Stephen John MELVILLE B.Bus (Accounting) FCPA MAICD

Executive Manager Corporate - Forest Products Commission, 15 years service as a Credit Society Director; has held senior positions in both private and government organisations with considerable experience in a range of accounting , financial management and marketing roles. Audit Committee Chairman.

 

Karl O'Callaghan 

Karl Joseph O'CALLAGHAN B.A. B.Ed (Hons) PhD

Commissioner of WA Police, 4 years service as a Credit Society Director; 36 years service as a Police Officer. Board Governance Committee member.

 

Alan Philp 

Alan Craig PHILP Dip Nursing & Midwifery, BA H Sc, MPH

Health Director, Department of Health & Ageing, 33 years in nursing profession, 33 years as a member of the Credit Society. Elected as a Credit Society Director in October 2008. Board Governance Committee member.

 

Ann Rial 

Ann Maree RIAL RN RM ICNC GC FAICD

Clinical Nurse Manager, 22 years service as a Credit Society Director; 37 years service in the nursing/health profession, Audit Committee member.

 

Wayne Gregson 

Wayne GREGSON APM BA MBA

Assistant Police Commissioner for Judicial Services, 29 years service with the WA Police, elected as a Police & Nurses Director in October 2009.

 

Michelle Fyfe
